An Introduction to Scrivener – S213S19

with Chris Friden

You’ve probably heard other writers rave about using Scrivener––maybe even tapped a few keystrokes yourself––but perhaps remain reluctant to convert. This workshop will help mitigate the fear factor of new software by providing an overview of Scrivener basics and a glimpse of the advanced features that make it such a powerful tool for both writing and self-publishing.

Scrivener is more than a word processor, it is a writing environment that brings every element of your project together in one place: concepts, outlines, note cards, drafts, backups, research, web links, photos, and more. Importing from Word, Pages, Google Docs or any text file is easy and so is formatting whether you are writing a manuscript, blog, short story, poetry, presentation, screenplay, textbook…whatever.

This class is oriented for beginners, but intermediate users will learn things too. Bring your laptop loaded with Scrivener if you want to follow along, or just listen and learn.

Scrivener costs only $45 (discounted further with class code: FRIDEN) and is available for purchase or free trail download here: https://www.literatureandlatte.com
