With a doctorate in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, Suzanne Hoover has been teaching literature and writing for over fifty years. After 25 years on the Sarah Lawrence College faculty, she retired in 2000; she then returned in 2008 to teach poetry and fiction craft in the Sarah Lawrence Graduate Writing Program, where she continues to this day. From 2005-2015 she taught advanced fiction writing at the Westport Writers Workshop. Since 2009, Suzanne has been giving a series of in-depth talks at WWW, "Essentials for the Fiction Writer." The present talk, the latest in the series, is Number Eleven.
