Have you wanted to try your hand at writing fiction, but didn’t know where to start? Join this workshop and start that story or novel idea that you’ve been holding on to. We’ll study the craft—character, setting, plot, tension, dialogue, imagery—through close reading of short stories and novel excerpts. I’ll share tools for how to transform your ideas or experiences into stories that will resonate. Writers can expect to write to prompts and to share pieces prepared at home in a supportive atmosphere. I also provide weekly emails with extra prompts and resources. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a weekly deadline to share your work-in-progress, this workshop is fluid and will cater to the group’s needs.
