Memorable scripts – whether plays or screenplays – demand memorable dialogue. Great dialogue attracts great actors, writers, and producers. But to create dialogue that sings, you have to understand not only your story, but your genre, and most importantly your characters. With weekly in-class exercises, participants will learn to play with language, meaning, and nuance. Throughout the session, we’ll help you develop unforgettable dialogue for your works-in-progress, for both plays and movies. The workshop will have a heavy focus on reading and listening, and helping you discover your authentic “ear.”
