with Soon Wiley

Do you have a story to tell but aren’t sure where to start? Do you have the seed of an idea but haven’t had the time or space to let it grow? This workshop will jumpstart your creative writing juices and provide a framework to keep you writing beyond the class. We will use short stories and novel excerpts to explore different genres of fiction with specific attention paid to how stories are structured. Equally as exciting, we will generate original fiction based on writing prompts assigned in class and share our work aloud. Depending on class size and interest, we’ll also do some at-home writing assignments based on prompts that will receive written feedback. The aim of this workshop will be to create a supportive environment where we are comfortable sharing our original work.
