Whether looking to try your hand at playwriting, to work on an on-going project, or just curious about the medium, this 4-week class serves as a perfect introduction.  During this generative course, you will get an overview of the history of theater and learn essential terms and elements of the craft of playwriting. You will also receive prompts and use in-class writing time to practice, and share, the style elements we are exploring each week. By the end of this workshop you will have a good understanding of the necessary tools to continue writing your own theatrical piece, as well as a solid grasp on the historical context of our current theatrical climate, and where your work might fit into the theater of today.
