NEW – Pushing the Envelope – B204S18

with Christine Kalafus

Pushing the Envelope

Consider this your invitation to take a flying leap. No—not out of a plane or off a cliff! Instead, join us for an eye-opening, all-genre, all-levels workshop where we will take big risks with our writing.

If you’re a writer and want to be successful, you can’t live without risk. And yet all of us, even the most experienced, can get stuck in a safety net. Do you write historical romance but have always wanted to try contemporary poetry? Or maybe you’ve got a diary that you dream of turning into fiction? Our creative risks are as individual as we are—this is not a one-size fits-all class. Instead, you will learn how to amplify your voice. Whether your risk is experimenting with structure, trying the genre in which you think you have no talent, or sharing work in public, this class will change your writing life. The energy you’re putting into holding your writing back is the same energy you will use to propel your work forward.

Participants should expect to write to prompts in class as well as share work written at home (up to 5 double spaces pages)

Come. Write. Push.
