We cannot wait to join you on March 16th at the Westport Library for the Pitch & Publish Conference. This all day event is packed full of inspiring industry insiders, including writers Leigh Stein, Anya Liftig, agent Paul Lucas, and editor Brigette Dale, just to name a few! We know they are going to inspire, educate, motivate and encourage you on your publishing journey.
The Conference with Pitches package gives you the full conference experience including welcome party Friday night, all talks, panels and Q&A, lunch, books for sale, wrap party Saturday evening, as well as the exciting opportunity to pitch your book to two agents. New this year: agents will read five pages of your work ahead of the conference.
Agent Pitching
Writers who have registered for the conference with pitches have the option to discuss their work in person at the library or via Zoom with two agents for 10 minutes each (included in the cost of registration). Pitch appointments will be scheduled throughout the day but as all speaker sessions will be recorded and available after the conference, no one will have to miss any part. A few weeks before the conference, you will receive an email to select two Pitch Takers. In this email, you’ll find more information about each Pitch Taker. Once you are matched with your pitch takers, we will request your query letter and five pages of your work which will be shared with both agents in advance of your meetings.
