**Contact the office for a quote.
Basic Manuscript Critique
If you have completed your first draft or are stuck in the midst of a manuscript, a basic critique is a good place to start. An instructor will read your manuscript and provide broad stroke feedback in an editorial letter (roughly 3 to 5 pages). The feedback will address the manuscript’s strengths and weaknesses, including major issues with plot or character development, setting and pace. You’ll have an opportunity to provide any questions before and after you submit your work.
**Submit twenty-five pages and manuscript overall length (page count) for a quote.
Full Manuscript Critique
This option is for the writer who wishes to polish his or her completed manuscript. Your editor will provide micro and macro feedback with line edits and an editorial letter that addresses the manuscript’s strengths and weaknesses, including plot and character development, use of setting, repetition, and basic grammar (note: this is not a copyedit but glaring grammatical issues will be marked). The critique includes the opportunity to discuss edits with the editor after completion to address any lingering questions or new concerns once you have reviewed the editorial recommendations.
**Submit twenty-five pages and the manuscript overall length (page count) for a quote.
Manuscript Copyedit
If you are ready to submit your manuscript, but it needs that last check of grammar and punctuation, our resident copyeditor will cross your t’s and dot your i’s. This service does not address big picture topics like plot or character development, but it’s an excellent way to be sure you are putting your best foot forward with a polished manuscript.
